Keeley Banton

MA student - Literature & Culture

Keeley is currently studying on the MA Literature and Culture course at the University of Salford where she is developing a particular interest in the rise in prominence of writing by black and mixed-race female British writers. Previously, Keeley worked as a lead English teacher, mentoring NQTs and RQTs, and also taught on the PGCE English course at the University of Manchester. Her specialist areas were Differentiation, Stretch and Challenge, Engaging Disengaged Students and Behaviour Management. Currently, alongside reading lots of literature, Keeley also enjoys attending the theatre, eating out and travelling with her family and friends. She is also very much looking forward to taking part in the TEDxUoS event this year.
