Levi Kaganowich

PhD student

Levi is a second year PhD student studying Mathematics at the University of Salford. His project explores how special kinds of materials can reduce noise from aircraft. He has had a varied career working in education, pastoral ministry and even studying music therapy. Youth mentoring is the common theme that brings these areas together. Levi has a vast experience of personalised tuition and mathematics teaching, having worked with a wide range students including students with learning disabilities, students who’ve lost confidence in their ability, and gifted students. This has been informed by Levi’s own experiences studying mathematics, which have been difficult at times. Levi is an award-winning mathematician and believes in the importance of understanding mathematics in its context and finding a greater purpose as a source of inspiration to study.
